Artist Statement
QuentinThePoet is a Philadelphia based journalism, poet, actor, marketing consultant and the Executive Director of WeThePeopleStage.com. He first started performing as an actor and spoken word artist at the age of 8 in church plays, in local universities productions, and other public theaters; as a way to overcome a stutter and to conquer the fear of crowds. He feels that creatives are lightning rods for the intense emotions experienced by the collective unconscious that materialize awareness and bring clarity to all that once was only raw impression. The creative increases society's capacity to digest and tolerate those emotions by adding language and texture, offering a deeper context for the human experience. QuentinThePoet's life mission is to demonstrate how the creative continues to be a vessel for social change by offering language to that which is emergent.
